Frequently asked questions

If you have a question that isn’t listed, please do drop us a message via the contact form below.

How Long will I wait for an appointment?

This depends on your availability and matching you to the right counsellor based on the issues you would like to discuss. We are known for having a very short waiting period and always aim to get you the first appointment within a few weeks if not sooner.

How do I know if counselling is for me?

If you feel you are struggling but are unable to talk to others or you want to talk with someone supportive and not feel judged then counselling can provide this for you and so much more. Reach out to us and talk to a member of the team if you have any questions, we are here to help.

What if I need to cancel?

We do have a 7 day cancellation period which requires payment for the session to be made if it is a non-emergency cancellation.

What approach do your counsellors use?

We use different theoretical approaches and models such as Psychodynamic theory, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Transpersonal theory, and Cognitive Behavioural theory, with a person-centred approach at the core of what we do. We commit to providing empathy, unconditional positive regard, and a non-judgemental relationship.

Is it confidential?

What you discuss with a counsellor is confidential unless you are at harm to yourself or others to which your counsellor if possible, will discuss with you what support you may be able to access.

How does payment work?

Payment is required 24 hours prior to each session via bank transfer.

Do I need to commit to a number of sessions?

No, however, we do ask you when providing us with your availability to think about if you can commit to the times or days given for an appointment each week or fortnight.

Is there a limit on the amount of sessions provided?

The sessions are open-ended, meaning there is no limit to the number of sessions you can have.

What are your fees?

Our prices start at £25 per session and we offer pricing for couples too. You’ll be notified of fees when you get in touch.
